Seattle Branding Expert to Speak at Ordnance Survey’s Conference in U.K.

PRLog (Press Release) – May 18, 2009 – Seattle, WA—Seattle-based branding expert Lynn M. Parker will speak on May 21, 2009 at Location 09, the Ordnance Survey’s Partner Conference in St. Albans, UK. Parker reveals how global companies can adapt their brand messages to maintain relevance across different cultures and within the various contexts customers experience their brand.  She will present a method for creating brand relevance she describes as, “Glocal—the perfect mixture of global and local: a universal message, aimed perfectly at a local market.”
The event takes place in St. Albans, a city in southern Hertfordshire, England, 22 miles north of central London on May 20th and 21st. The conference is a platform for the geographic information market—including navigation, banking, and insurance, land and property, and transportation organizations. Location 09 is hosted by The Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s national mapping agency, an executive agency of the United Kingdom government, which works to develop the geographic information market and is one of the world’s largest producers of maps.
